A striking, high-relief bronze tribute plaque by French artist Léon Chédeville circa 1877, famous for his work on the Musee des Beaux-Arts de Rouen as well as the theatre. This circular medallion is a copy or model of one made in the handsome likeness of the subject, Alfred Lamer (whose name is engraved to the left) to hang above his mausoleum at the Cimetière monumental de Rouen in France.
