About the Item

Exquisite, monumental, brutalist, fiberglass figural wall sculpture entitled “Lovers” by Espada for Finesse Originals. Monumental, three dimensional, raised gold figures, mounted on a scored dark wooden plaque A three dimensional fiberglass wall sculpture of androgynous couples in frontal and profile poses in gold overtones by Espada. Intriguing use of popular new (in the 1960s) fiberglass medium, circa 1960’s. The piece explores artistic rendering of human form. Presented in a rough cut wood textured frame. The piece was seen in the series Mad Men, Season 3, Episode “The Fog” The wall hanging sculpture is a single piece of fiberglass with frame incorporated into the design. Condition is very good original condition. Some minor loss to the gold finish on some of the figures, which are not distracting given the scale of the artwork No cracks or breaks to the fiberglass. Measurements: 28" tall x 56" wide x 4" depth. One of the best preserved examples I have seen of this Finesse Original
