Pair of Vintage Painted Cartouche Panels with Oval Mirrors from Florence, Italy
About the Item
These painted panels were meticulously hand-crafted in Florence, Italy. The panels have been parcel-painted white with a 6 ¼ x 4 ½ oval mirror set inside an open cartouche. Both mirrors are surrounded by acanthus husks, floral swags, and volute scrolls and topped by a low relief carving of a wicker basket bouquet. The entire cartouche is carved on a rectangular panel with a raised foliate border. Whether hung together as a pair or individually on the wall, these painted cartouche panels are sure to add sophistication to any home decor.
