About the Item

From Sarreguemines, a Majolica glazed green leaf shaped server, France, circa 1870. Shaped as a large single Fern leaf. Precise mold work, with a strong green glaze that pools into the deeper areas of the mold. Footed with a curved rim. Measures: 12.5 in. L x 9 in. W x 1.75 in. H Impressed: Sarreguemines, with the mold number 1177, and the number 227, signifying a majolica glaze. In incredible antique condition.
