These unique fragments of wallpaper come from Abraham and Mary Lincoln's bedroom in their Springfield home. The Springfield home in which the Lincolns lived was built by Rev. Charles Dresser who married Abraham and Mary in November 1842. Rev. dresser sold the home to Lincoln in 1844 for $1500. In the mid-1850s, the home was raised to a full story residence with the Lincolns' bedroom located at the north of the second floor.
