About the Item
Temple Newsam: A set of three Chinoiserie panels on ivory background, inspired by Temple Newsam estate, with gilding 24K gold elements. When put together, all three panels build one image.
Our designs are based on 18th century Chinese wallpaper originals to maintain the traditional origins and style. Each product is hand-painted and therefore unique; the production involves hours of manual work. We focus on detailed paintings and authentic classical embroidery.
Historical background: after having been imported, Chinese wallcoverings were adapted to European interiors, in some cases by being cut in pieces and flexibly arranged, to create a symbiosis between the existing European furniture and exotic beauty. They were installed in rooms of private use, such as bedrooms, drawing rooms etc.
Please note:
For production we use high quality materials only. However, depending on the material composition and colour, it may happen that the colour can show on the left-hand side of the panel/wallpaper.
Our wallpapers are easy to install; still, we would recommend working with a professional installer.
All designs are made to order and non-returnable. Please do not hesitate to reach out for further details before buying.
