Japanese silk wall coverings by Paul Montgomery Studio are available in a wide variety of colors. Characterized by irregular thickness of weave and a rustle of knots, Japanese silk is an expression of elegance and charm. The 100 percent woven silk fabric is backed with Echizen Japanese paper. From silk dyeing to lamination, all finishing processes are consistently done by hand. Japanese silk rolls are 36” wide by 8 yards long, and are ASTM E-84 Test: Class a fire rated. This color of silk is offered as a set of 1 roll of paper. The total length is 8 yards (24 feet).

Paul Montgomery
Paul Montgomery has been an artist his entire life, and has proven to be versatile and engaging in a broad range of mediums, styles and genres. Early paintings were copies of beloved old masters and the European schools. Still life studies and landscape painting were his favorite themes, and helped found his abilities at detail and realism. Chinoiserie was an inspiration after a visit to the Freer Gallery in Washington in his late teen years. This sparked a life-long love of the unique perspective of the sensitive interpretation of nature as seen in Asian paintings and screens. Paul Montgomery Studio offers a wide range of options for your wall covering needs. We offer custom murals, multiple production techniques, a variety of substrates, digital reproductions, and unique art pieces.
