Belgian artist Ferdinand Pire, focuses his painting in an old world art medium, eglomise'. This is a process of reverse painting on glass, allowing the artist to embed elements of metallic's as well as paint. With this process, the paintings when lit seem to cast their own radiant glow.
"Raison d'etre", "Reason to Be", is an original eglomise' painting on glass, residing within the original artists frame which is inlayed with blue lapis, signed, c.2005.
