Antique Japanese Wooden Hibachi with Metal Liner and Three Dovetailed Drawers
About the Item
An antique Japanese rectangular wooden hibachi from the early 20th century, with metal liner and three drawers. Used for cooking or warming sake or tea, this elegant hibachi features a rectangular frame with large top surrounding a central opening lined with metal. Presenting petite handles on the side allowing the piece to be moved more easily, the hibachi showcases three drawers in its lower section, each fitted with a brass C-scroll handle. With its clean lines, dovetailed construction and dark patina, this Japanese early 20th century hibachi will bring a sense of tradition to any home, perhaps used as a coffee table should you add a glass top.
