Italian 18th Century Louis XVI Period Giltwood Chandelier
About the Item
A unique and elegant Italian 18th century Louis XVI period gilt wood twelve light chandelier. This lovely air balloon shaped chandelier has a carved inverted bottom finial with garlands connecting to the central base. The circular base is decorated with carved leaves amidst the C scrolled arms ending with bobeches and glass saucers. The graceful garlands continue to the top crown accented with large acanthus leaf sprays joined by crystal garlands and pendants. With all original gilt throughout.
