18th Century Queen Anne Highboy with Engraved Brasses

About the Item

A fine Queen Anne two part highboy with a molded cornice surmounting an upper case with five graduated drawers over an associated lower case with three fitted drawers, all with early engraved batwing brasses with cotter pins. The skirt is nicely carved with two acorn drops, and the case is supported with carved cabriole legs terminating with pad feet. The highboy is in very good condition, with some side scratches, refreshed finish, some shrinkage cracks, drawer edge and cornice edge roughness, minor restorations, and other light wear commensurate with age and use.
