About the Item
19th-century Swedish Victorian gold bangle stylized as a sash buckle. Love how linear and modern it looks! Made in Stockholm circa 1870/1880 by firm Gustaf Möllenborg in 18K gold then coated in 22-23karat gold for a richer yellow hue.
Inner circumference Ø approx 54 mm.
Bangle is 21mm wide
Gross weight approx 34,5 grams.
Buckle motif was popular in the Victorian era. As it was the Queen's order.
The belt/buckle represents eternity, fidelity, loyalty, strength and protection. The symbol curves around and threads back into itself, creating an eternal loop. Two people united, securely, in an everlasting connection together as one.
