A fabulous 1950s Crystal Cocktail Bangle most likely by WEISS although unmarked. Featuring the most incredible large faux alexandrite crystals that turn from blue to lilac in daylight. As a natural stone Alexandrite projects different tones of pale blue and lilac in artificial or natural light. These faux Alexandrite crystals produced for costume jewellery alter their color in a very similar way. Depending on the amount or type of light, the color of the stones changes through shades of lilac and pale blue. Measuring 17.5cm internal circumference. In very good vintage condition. An incredibly glamorous piece of mid century jewellery that rocks its way effortlessly into the 21st century stacked or alone.
