An 18 karat gold bangle bracelet, by Günter Wyss, c. 1960, Switzerland. The bracelet is stamped Günter Wyss Design, 750 with the artist's maker's mark. The inner circumference measures 7.0" and the bracelet measures 1.5" wide. Hinge Closure. Designed as two mirrored pieces joined to form one ultra sleek bangle, the undulating lines create a sense of moving parts when worn. Günter Wyss was born in 1934 in Zurich Switzerland and had an untimely death in 1971. Yet, Wyss had already become a leading European modernist artist and studio jeweler, working in Germany and Switzerland. During the 1960s he influenced both fashion and design.
