Mary Oros Extra-Wide Purple Acrylic Link Bracelet
About the Item
American artist Mary Oros created this sophisticated oversized bracelet bangle. It features extra-large organic-feel cast acrylic resin, an incredible purple-violet metallic coating, and tone variation built on a stretch link. This piece is not signed, but the design is unmistakable.
The bracelet is in good condition. It shows slight color variation throughout. We are unsure if this is the designer's choice, the coating process, or the result of time discoloration. There are also some minor surface scratches due to standard use.
Measurements: inside across is 2.19 in diameter (5.6 cm) - outside across is 4 in diameter (10.1 cm) - width is 2.69 in (6.8 cm) - The bracelet will fit an average Small wrist size of 6.5 in circumference maximum (16.5 cm).
Note: Californian sculptor and artist Mary Oros created an iconic and highly sought-after jewelry line from 1986 to 1990. Each piece is designed with cast resin, colored individually in vibrant metallic coating hand-selected by Mary herself, and covered in acrylic for shine and durability. Some jewelry was made to look like stones, and some were made to look like brass and silver. The whole collection was of outstanding statement. Mary Oros's work was featured in Bazaar and other high-end fashion magazines in the late 1980s and has attained a highly collectible status since then.
