About the Item

An absolutely fabulous bracelet and necklace set from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful two-piece ensemble is made of both 15kt and 18kt vibrant yellow gold with striking textured detail. Decorating both pieces is a stylish horseshoe motif lined with Pavé set white pearls. A shield-like hallmark is stamped on the back of each horseshoe. Resting in the space in the middle of each horseshoe are the words "Good Luck" which are encrusted with sparkling diamonds, adding a wonderful sparkle! The bracelet is a hinged bangle style design and has a textured, woven gold surface lined with beaded Etruscan detail at the top and bottom. Resting in the center is a "Good Luck" horseshoe, which can be unscrewed from the back and removed completely, allowing the bracelet to be displayed according to the wearer's preference. The back of the bracelet is smooth, and the piece opens at a simple push clasp at the side. A safety chain provides extra security. The necklace is a magnificent piece comprised of dozens of small gold medallion links, which hinge together at the top, forming a flexible chain. Each individual link has an etched surface with a lovely floral design, while the back surface remains smooth. Three pearl and diamond "Good Luck" horseshoes rest along the center of the necklace, the largest in the middle. Like the horseshoe detail on the bracelet, all three horseshoes on the necklace are removable, allowing it to be worn alone as a chain if desired. The largest center horseshoe also has a gold loop at the top, making it a convertible piece that can be worn as a pendant on a thin gold chain. A push hidden clasp at the back of the piece fastens the necklace together. Both the necklace and bracelet display exceptional craftsmanship and have a fashionable, eye-catching design! Each piece is strong enough to be worn alone, and when paired together they make a stylish and important statement! Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 15" long and is 3/8" wide. The two smaller horseshoes are 7/8" wide and 1" tall, and the larger horseshoe is 1" wide and 1 1/8" tall. The bracelet is 3/4" wide, and the space inside (where your wrist would rest) measures 2 1/4" wide and 2" tall.
