Gilbert Albert 1970 Organic Bracelet In 18Kt Yellow Gold With Diamonds And Pearl

Bracelet designed by Gilbert Albert (1930-2019). Magnificent and very rare bracelet, created in Geneva Switzerland by the master jewelry designer Gilbert Albert, back in the 1970's. This sculptural bracelet is a one-of-a-kind unique piece, carefully crafted with organics motifs in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with beautiful textured patterns. Fitted with a security box lock and a hinged slash for extra safety. Diamonds: Mount in four-prongs settings, with 8 round brilliant cut diamonds, 1.03 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS-2 clarity. Pearls: Mount, with and arrangement of 5 round pearls of different tonalities, graduated between 5mm and 6mm. Others: Is accompanied by one supplementary sphere of 12mm, carved from natural pink quartz. These spheres can be interchanged with the main Tahitian black pearls. Weight: 57.95 Grams, (37.15 Dwt). Size: Fit a wrist up to 7.85 Inches (20 Cm). Measurements: The width run from 8 mm to 25 mm (0.31 to 0.98 Inches). Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark GA, the mark for the assay and warranty of the gold and signed in full, "GILBERT ALBERT GA .750". The Artist Gilbert Albert Was an artist and jeweler that born in Geneva, Switzerland in 1930. He was one of the most influential jeweler artist of the 20th and 21th century with more than 10 world award winning prizes. He made important sculptural jewelry works for the Patek Philippe company and he worked there as part of the designer team. He was head of the workshop from the 1955 to 1962, during which time he designed his signature asymmetrical watches for the company. Mr. Albert took his inspiration from his passion for modern art, notably works by Brancusi and Mondrian. In 1962 after leaving the Patek Philippe Co, he founded an opened his own firm at rue de la Corraterie in Geneva where one of his workshops is located still today. He also worked for the Omega SA Watch Company. Recently he opened boutique stores in Paris and New York city. Provenance: A private collection in Geneva, Switzerland.
