About the Item
This charming 1940s Joseff Of Hollywood link bracelet and earring set is a wonderful example of the designer's celebrated flare for costume jewellery. Provider of high quality costume jewelry to the stars during the 1930s and 1940s, his pieces were worn by actresses such as Vivien Leigh in "Gone With The Wind" and Elizabeth Taylor in the epic "Cleopatra". The bracelet is comprised of alternate links featuring a scarab beetle design in gold gilt alloy, and peking glass faux jade ornaments depicting waterlilies with a spring ring fastening. The earrings have clip fastenings and feature the same scarab beetle design as the bracelet with oval mottled faux jade glass. In great condition, this attractive set measures as follows:
