About the Item

An exceptional and original antique 0.60 carat diamond and enamel, platinum and 18 karat yellow gold, Royal Regiment of Artillery sweetheart brooch; part of our antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections This exceptional antique Royal Artillery Regimental brooch has been crafted in platinum and 18k yellow gold. The pierced decorated frame reflects the Royal Artillery* cap badge. The canon and imperial crown of this iconic regimental brooch are ornamented with forty-two pavé set eight-cut diamonds. The canon is surmounted with an 18k yellow gold and dark blue enamel banner detail displaying the 'Ubique' - 'Everywhere' motto. The lower 18k yellow gold and blue enamel banner completes the motto of the Royal Artillery 'Quo Fas Et Gloria Ducunt' - 'Where Right and Glory Lead'. This fine example of antique military related jewellery secures to the reverse with a hinged platinum pin and locking clasp. This WWI sweetheart brooch is fitted to the original blue leatherette case, which bears the retailer's mark 'By Appointment Heming & Co. 28 Conduit Street, London.W'. to the interior. The brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. This antique brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum and 18k gold. NOTE* The Royal Regiment of Artillery (RA) is the artillery arm of the British Army, and the canon depicted is based on a 9 pounder Rifled Muzzle Loader circa 1871.
