10K Antique Edwardian Yellow Gold Cameo Brooch Pendant Circa 1910
About the Item
This hardstone (agate) cameo is haloed in hand-engraved 10k yellow gold. This lovely lady has beautifully coiffed hair topped with a diadem, a lovely face, and even tiny drop earrings. The attention to detail is wonderful on this antique cameo. At some point a gold-filled flip-up bale was added to the brooch adding versatility so that it can be worn as a brooch or a pendant. We love the blank and white color of this particular cameo, making it more unique than the standard shell cameos and easy to match with an outfit.
The brooch measures 1 3/8" long and 1" wide and has a safety clasp so that it doesn't go missing during wear. The safety clasp is marked for 10k gold.
