18 Karat Yellow Gold & Old Mine Cut Diamond Bar Brooch
About the Item
An exquisite handmade yellow gold and diamond bar brooch set with five Old Mine Cut Diamonds. The symmetrical pin has been handcrafted in 18 karat yellow gold and set horizontally with five Old Mine Cut Diamonds of H/I colour and SI clarity totalling 1.25 carat. The late Victorian pin features to the rear a twin hinged pin with hook type closure that is working well and secure. This pin is a prime example of Old Mine Cut diamonds being used beautifully and is an excellent illustration of 19th century diamond jewellery.
Marked - unmarked but acid tests as 18 karat
