55.00CT Aquamarine Brooch Silver over Gold C. Dunaigre Lab.
About the Item
Antique brooch featuring 55.00CT Oval modified brilliant cut Greenish/Blue Natural Aquamarine (aqua exhibits a soft blue color. Measurements are 33.70x22.15x12.00mm deep. Laboratory report from C. Dunaigre Switzerland Laboratory, please see picture for the details). Aquamarine bezel set into intricately designed filigree brooch with bow and flowers. Brooch flanked with multiple rose cut diamonds measuring from 1.5 to 3mm. I would say Edwardian (but it could be older). Pin measuring 3.00x1.5" long and equipped with pin and "C' catch. Pin/brooch weigh 36.8 grams.
We have tested the metal and it shows SILVER and Gold (I have described as Silver over gold). The pin and the safety stopper are gold - these parts needs to be stronger then the rest of the pin.
