A stunning antique Art Deco 7.27 carat diamond and platinum, 18 karat white gold duette/double clip brooch; part of our diverse antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections This stunning, fine and impressive antique brooch has been crafted in platinum with an 18k white gold fitting. This stunning antique double clip brooch has been modelled in the form of a bow, stylised in the iconic Art Deco manner. The pierced decorated, geometric design is ornamented with four feature transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds, individually collet set in pairs to either side of the design. The setting of the brooch is ornamented with seventeen transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds, enhancing the curvilinear frame emanating from the aforementioned principle stones; this forms the outer edge of the ribbon bow loops. Each side of this symmetrical brooch is embellished twenty-six pavé set transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds displayed within an Art Deco angular layered motif, accented with a fan design to the tapering terminal. The center of the brooch is comprised of a conjoined oval setting embellished with six impressive baguette cut diamonds, in addition to twenty transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds to the outer borders; this convex setting comprises the knot of the bow. This impressive Art Deco design may be unclipped and separated into two individual clip brooches via a pierced decorated removable 18k white gold frame to the reverse. The brooch as a whole secures with a hinged pin fastening to the reverse of the removable frame, when separated the brooches secure with a hinged clip fastening. This antique diamond brooch is fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation case with a satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch. This exceptional lift-out bespoke velvet fitment has been crafted to enable the brooch to be secured via their clip fastenings and displayed as individual components; the box features a compartment beneath for the detachable frame and hinged pin. This stunning antique double clip brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum and 18 karat gold. This impressive brooch is supplied with four independent diamond grading report certificates for the feature stones, in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the supporting stones. NOTE: The duette (or double clip) style brooch increased in popularity in the first half of the twentieth century; they flourished during the Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements due to the use of symmetry of organic designs. Due to their versatility they can be simply worn as an eye-catching single brooch, whereas the two matching brooches could be utilised as collar clips, hat clips, shoes clips, and hair clips. Condition This stunning double clip brooch is exceptional quality set with very high color graded diamonds, displaying a fine white color, brilliance and presence. The brooch is an exceptional gauge of platinum and gold, and is in excellent condition.
