Antique 18th Century Pair Of Paste and Metal Brooches
About the Item
These elegant brooches were handcrafted in the 2nd half of the 18th century.
The brooch to the top left is made out of two pointed ovals of beautifully cut slightly trapeze shaped white paste stones. The 34 pastes on the outside are slightly larger than the 34 pastes that make up the inner oval. The inner frame is made out of gilt silver and shows fine chiselled ornaments. The weight of this buckle is 11.10 grams. The dimensions of both brooches are almost identical.
The brooch on the lower right is set with large trapeze cut white pastes. The inner edge of the brooch is made out of gilt silver, it is decorated with a finely chiselled wavy ornament.
The weight indicated in the listing is for both brooches because of shipping reasons.
