Antique Art Deco Brooch Tulips Polychrome Enamel Painting on Copper Brass Frame
About the Item
This unusual brooch features a fine enamel painting on copper of tulips. We see three tulips of different colours, one yellow, one in pale lilac and one in red with their leaves before a background of metallic pale blues. The mount has been executed in brass. Different sizes of brass stripes have been twisted and alternate with polished brass rods and polished pieces of brass wire to make up this expressive Art Deco frame. Four grooved three quarter circles hold the enamel square in place.
