Antique Diamond Crescent Brooch
About the Item
Here we have a marvellous crescent brooch. This antique piece showcases an 18ct pink gold frame set with a single row of bright white round faceted old European cut diamonds. All stone here have been individually claw set in a single line formation whilst collectively graduating in size towards the centre. We find the brooch pin fitting on the reverse side alongside a slim safety chain for extra security when worn.
The crescent moon was an immensely popular symbol for Victorian jewellery lovers. It was a feminine symbol, celebrating the moon as a goddess and, by extension, embracing female empowerment. The crescent moon in jewellery also represented change due to the cycle and phases of the moon, as well as spirituality.
