Antique Georgian Silver Paste Brooch, Lace Pin

About the Item

A sweet antique, Georgian era paste brooch or lace pin. A simple button style design, featuring a large faceted paste paste stone set into an open back, circular silver setting. The open back lets the light shine through and hit the facets from more angles. It is a demure size, likely used as a lace pin but it would look great today adorning a lapel or pinned to a cravat. It has an old c type pin and clasp fastener, pin is base metal. Unmarked, tests as sterling silver, Georgian era, c1800s Condition: Good used condition overall, some light surface wear and overall dark patina.
