About the Item

A stunning, fine and impressive antique 1.09 carat diamond and 1.62 carat ruby, 12 karat yellow gold and silver set pendant / brooch; part of our diverse antique jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive Victorian ruby pendant/brooch has been crafted in 12k yellow gold with a silver setting. The pierced decorated drop style pendant is ornamented with a central feature articulated eight-claw set 0.41Ct Old European cut diamond and yellow gold claw-set pear cut ruby, in a vertical linear formation. This stunning feature drop suspends from a tri-leaf design emanating across the upper portion of the curvilinear frame, ornamented with five diamonds in a combination of Old European and Dutch cuts. The symmetrical, scrolling frame is embellished with a further thirty-four Old European cut diamonds. A stunning splayed terminal articulates and suspends from the lower border of the design, ornamented with a collet set pear cut ruby to the nadir of each strand. This stunning ruby pendant suspends from an 18" contemporary 18k gold trace chain via a ring loop to the reverse of a claw set Old European round cut diamond, situated to the apex of the design. This stunning antique pendant can also be worn as a brooch via a screw fit detachable, hinged pin and clasp fastening; this detachable fitment indicates the high quality of the piece. This impressive ruby and diamond pendant has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 12k yellow gold and silver. This stunning example of Victorian jewelry is supplied with an independent diamond grading report certificate for the feature stone, in addition to an independent diamond and gemstone grading report card for the supporting stones. Condition This stunning pendant/brooch is excellent quality, set with impressive rubies displaying fine colour, brilliance and presence. The very high color graded diamonds display a fine white color and brilliance. The pendant is an excellent gauge of gold and is in excellent condition. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of antique jewelry/estate jewelry.
