About the Item

This magnificent antique brooch was crafted from solid 18k yellow gold during the Victorian era. It features a VERY DETAILED, oval shaped, high relief cameo carved from a natural white and pink shell that was then bezel set at its center. The cameo displays the most incredible detail displaying a portrait of a woman with curly hair that is adorned with flowers throughout. The exceptional and uniquely designed yellow gold frame around the cameo is beautifully detailed and features textured flower work and twisted wire work for a truly elegant touch. The frame is accented with fine diamonds that are set in solid white gold, with additional diamonds and pearls gently dangling from each corner, adding a very special touch to this statement piece. This piece can be worn as either a brooch with the pin on the back or as a pendant with the dual enhancer bails at the top.
