The pierced decorated frame is embellished with a feature 5.95 carat heart shaped cabochon cut opal, 18 ct yellow gold claw set to the centre of the design. The opal is surrounded by thirteen Dutch cut diamonds, individually collet set within an interlacing border. The heart shaped platinum setting is embellished with a Marquess coronet design incorporating ten further collet set Dutch cut diamonds. The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp, crafted in 15 ct white gold. For sale a rare arrow brooch dated from the 19th century, the Victorian era. This brooch features a stunning yellowish-gray cat-eye chrysoberyl cabochon in the center: a precious phenomenon gemstone that displays a line in the center of the stone when exposed to light.
