Antique Victorian Essex Crystal Hunting Dog 14K Gold Lapel Pin
About the Item
An antique reverse intaglio crystal stickpin or lapel pin depicting a hunting dog. The dog painting was done on a reverse carved crystal and has a mother of pearl background. The crystal dog painting is set in a granulated 14 karat yellow gold border.
The stickpin dates from the Late Victorian period, circa 1890 and has a content of 14 karat gold. Hallmarks are present with 585. The crystal stickpin is in very good condition and of high quality. It measures 84 mm from top to bottom and 21 mm wide. The dog pin has a nice heavy weight of 8.58 grams.
