About the Item
An art-deco European dog brooch with diamonds.
This is a beautiful antique brooch created in Europe during the art deco period, back in the 1915-1920. The fabulous brooch has been designed in the shape of a stylized dog, masterfully crafted in yellow gold of 18 karats and topped with silver for the settings of the diamonds. The dog brooch is embellished with a great assortment of natural earth mined gemstones, such: four red rubies and eighty-six European cuts diamonds. The brooch is fitted at the reverse with a horizontal hinged pin-bar with a hook to easy wear.
Diamonds: Mount in pave settings, with 86 graduated European round brilliant cuts diamonds, with a total weight of about 5.04 carats, H/J color, VS/SI clarity.
Rubies: The collar is mounted in a flush setting, with 4 calibrated European faceted cut red rubies, with a total weight of about 0.20 carats.
Weight: 8.95 Grams, (5.75 Dwt).
Measurements: 54 mm by 35 mm (2.12 x 1.38 Inches).
Hallmarks: Unmarked, electronically tested for gold and silver.
Collateral: This art-deco dog brooch is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this art-deco dog brooch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the platinum. The 90 gemstones are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
