This piece is a true masterpiece, meticulously crafted to capture the glamour and sophistication of the Art Deco movement. Hand-crafted in platinum, this long ribbon bow brooch features openwork floral design lacework intricately adorned with a mixture of antique cut diamonds and rubies. The edges of the ribbon showcase stunning black enamel, lined with carré-cut rubies, adding a bold, yet elegant touch to the overall design. Presented in its original box. Diamonds: A mixture of transitional brilliant, old single and rose cut diamonds, good material, total estimated weight 1.35ct Gemstones: Small round and calibrated carre cut rubies, fine red material, total estimated weight 1.60ct Metal: Platinum with 18ct gold pin Weight: 13.52 grams Measurements: Length 10cm, width 1.2cm Era: Art Deco Circa 1925 The Art Deco name comes from the 1925 “Exposition Internationale de Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes” in Paris. A more relatively modern style, Art Deco was all about the geometry and symmetry. Rampant throughout the 20’s and 30’s, Art Deco used stones such as diamonds, sapphires and rubies to accentuate the stylized lines of the jewellery.
