This exquisite sculpture was carved in luxuriously luminescent blue chalcedony by American lapidary master Steve Walters. The drama in this piece of jewelry cannot be overstated; the large scale of the exquisite chalcedony and the gorgeous movement of the carving combine for an exceptional piece of wearable art. The chalcedony is an intense natural blue color, and it exhibits a high degree of translucency. A gorgeous diamond, set in platinum, is perfectly nestled into the carving. The removable French Polynesian gray pearl is the perfect accessory for this dramatic piece. An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage seed pearl and 8.85 carat chrysoprase, 18 karat white gold brooch/pendant; part of our diverse vintage brooches collection. This stunning, fine and impressive vintage brooch has been crafted in 18k white gold. The pierced decorated interlacing oval-shaped frame bears a fruiting vine theme; this is a highly desirable and unusual design. The grape cluster of the fruiting vine design is composed of five impressive collet set circular cabochon chrysoprase, totalling 8.85cts. The opposing side of the brooch is embellished with an asymmetrical cluster of cultured pearls, incorporating wirework style tendrils. The curving frame is further embellished to the upper border with two large leaf designs, accented with seed pearls paralleling the naturalistic leaf's veins. The pierced decorated interlacing frame of the brooch is further ornamented with a scrolling leaf decoration, completing the design. This stunning and rare vintage chrysoprase and pearl brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and sheath fastening. This versatile brooch may also be worn as a pendant, suspended from 18' 18k white gold trace chain via an integrated loops to the upper reverse portion of the frame. The brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 karat gold.
