The brooch has been realistically modelled in the form of a dragonfly. The abdomen of the dragonfly is ornamented with a feature collet set oval cut ruby. The head of this impressive brooch is further embellished with two cabochon cut rubies representing the eyes. The vintage brooch setting has been modelled in the form of a sixteen-pointed star / double octagram, in the antique Victorian style.
