Early 19th Century French Rose Cut Diamond Stick Pin Victor Halphen
About the Item
This early 19th century stick pin features all the making of an antique piece of French art: solid 18k gold, high quality engraving, and brilliant craftsmanship. Of course the main feature of the stick pin is the elongated rose cut diamond placed proudly at the top of the pin. The diamond has been foil backed to accentuate the natural brilliance of the gem, was a frequent practice at the time this piece was made. A French eagle head hallmark adorns the pin stem as well as a makers mark indicating that this stick was was made by the French designer Victor Halphen.
