An Early 20th Century Harlequin Moonstone And Ruby Stick-pin

About the Item

An early 20th century harlequin moonstone and ruby stick-pin, the realistically carved moonstone in the form a harlequin’s head with blue and black enamelled hat, the collar flanked with five round cabochon-cut rubies, all mounted in rose gold, with rose gold pin fitting, circa 1915, unmarked, tested 9ct gold, measuring 1.3 x 0.9cm, the pin measuring 7.1cm, gross weight 2.1 grams. This antique pin is in very good condition for its age. Unamarked, tested as 9ct gold. This attractive harlequin moonstone and ruby stickpin is part of the stickpin collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London distinguished jewellers by appointment to His Majesty the King. The finely carved moonstone, crafted into the shape of harlequin's head, is adorned with a vivid blue and black enamelled hat. The collar is gracefully accented with five round cabochon-cut rubies, all elegantly set in rose gold dating back to the early 20th century.
