Egyptian Revival Silver Enamel Amethyst Eagle Pin
This is an Egyptian Revival enamel eagle pin made from 800 silver. Featuring a carved amethyst scarab, 11.5mm x8.5mm. 800 silver is also known as coin silver and is not sterling. The pin was made after the discovery of King Tutankhamun's tomb, at that time anything Egyptian was all the rage. There is some slight loss of the enamel, but the colors are still bright and interesting.
