French Art Deco Old Mine Diamond Ruby Platinum 18 Karat Gold Flower Brooch
About the Item
Beautifully designed and masterfully handcrafted in platinum and 18 karat yellow gold. This impressive and chic Art Deco from ca 1935 brooch in the shape of a flower has a domed platinum bud pave set with bright white and lively Old Mine diamonds. Polished yellow gold petals extend and are alternately set with baguette cut diamonds and vibrant red rubies. The platinum curved stem in platinum topped gold is also set with Old Mine diamonds giving this brooch a life-like and three dimensional appearance with a wonderful contrast of colors. French assay marks for platinum and 18 karat gold are stamped on the stem and double-pin clip back, along with makers marks.
