Genuine Natural 18k Yellow Gold Plique-A-Jour Enamel Owl Pin (#J1724)
Finely made 18k yellow gold plique-a-jour enamel pin in the shape of an owl. The owl has cabochon blue sapphires eyes and a cabochon emerald nose/beak. Plique-a-jour is like stained glass enamel; it does not have a backing and light can pass through.
The pin measures 1 7/8" long or 60x55mm. It weighs 12.9 dwt., and dates from the 1940's. Captivating piece!
