Georgian miniature and diamond brooch, French, circa 1800.

About the Item

Georgian miniature and diamond brooch. Set with a fine picture of a young country girl with a boy in a closed back rubover setting, bordered by a single row of cushion shape rose cut diamonds in closed back grain settings, one hundred and eighteen in total, with an approximate combined weight of 1.00 carats, to an elegant decorative brooch featuring a ribbon style bow to top and fitted to reverse with a secure hinged pin and clasp, approximately 1.5" in diameter. Marked 18 carat rose gold and tested silver, maker's mark 'E M', French, circa 1800.
