Georgian Diamond Set Miniature Brooch Circa 1830s

About the Item

This rare Georgian diamond set miniature brooch. Hand painted, this painting is a scene from the poem “Paradise Lost” by John Milton. It depicts the Archangel Raphael issuing a warning to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. This brooch has been repaired over time, as some lead solder is evident. Diamonds: Thirty graduated rose cut, good material, estimated total weight 1.05ct Metal: 9k, 14k gold and Silver Weight: 22.68 grams Measurements: Width 4.3cm, height 3.9cm Era: Georgian 1830s
