A stunning, fine and impressive plique-à-jour and 0.06 carat ruby, 18 karat yellow gold brooch in the form of a butterfly; part of our diverse antique jewellery and estate jewelry collections. This fine and impressive vintage brooch has been crafted in 18k yellow gold. The brooch has been modelled in the form of a butterfly. The butterfly's wings are composed yellow gold frames accented with impressive plique-à-jour* panels. Each forewing and hindwing are fitted to impressive hinges and articulate from the thorax. The butterfly's abdomen and head have a textured finish, replicating the insect's natural formation.
