Italian Late 19th Century Coral Cherub Stick Pin

About the Item

An Italian late 19th century coral stick pin, featuring the bust of cherub realistically carved out of coral, to an 18ct yellow gold pin fitting, circa 1870, the bust measuring approximately 2.5 x 1.5cm, the pin measuring approximately 7.3 cm long, gross weight 5.9 grams. A charming Italian coral stick pin from the reign of Vittorio Emmanuelle II. This pin features the bust of a plump cherub carved from orange coral. The bust is mounted on a yellow gold pin, which provides a warm complement to the coral. The cherub’s face is realistically carved and rendered in sweet detail. This lovely piece comes from the extensive antique stick pin collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. Should you choose to make this purchase we will delighted to send it to you in a Bentley & Skinner handmade leather case packed in a gift-wrapped Bentley & Skinner black and gold presentation box. Shortly afterwards we will send you on a valuation for insurance purposes for your reference and safekeeping.
