Rare glazed terracotta brooch ,of grayish white, with 24kt gold detail.Mounted on a gilt metal pronged backing.Although
unsigned this brooch holds all the earmarks of Clements early works in glazed terracotta.
Schiaparelli worked with Jean Clement to design buttons and fasteners of wood, glazed china, terracotta, celluloid, glass, crystal, amber, white jade, sealing wax – buttons shaped like shoelaces, snails, tops, padlocks, nuts and bolts, coffee beans, lollipops, peanuts, spoons, fruits and vegetables .During the 1930s her jewelery designs were produced by Jean Clement and Roger Jean-Pierre,.
