Designed by the famed French designer Jean Vitau for Gemveto. Jean Vitau was a pioneer jewelry designer . He was known for patenting the Gemlok setting ,a secure and snag proof way of setting diamonds and colored stones. This lovely pansy brooch is meticulously set with .67 carats of round brilliant diamonds, 2.09 carats of round brilliant yellow sapphires and 4.21 carats of round brilliant purple ombre sapphirres. The brooch measures approximately 1" in length and width. Appraisal on request. Brooch is stamped with "Jean Vitau" and "18KT"

An enameled brooch designed by Peter Lindeman (1930-2024). This is a gorgeous modernist brooch, created in New York City by the artist and goldsmith Peter Lindeman, back in the 1970. The beautiful brooch was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with polished finish and embellished with applications of green and blue glass enamels.The brooch is mounted with seventeen gorgeous white colorless diamonds and is fitted at the reverse with a hinged pin bar with a mechanical twist lock. This brooch may be adjusted to wear as a pendant. Country: New York City, United States. Artist: Peter Lindeman. Period: Modernist, 1970. Weight: 28.65 Grams, (18.36 Dwt,). Diamonds: Mounted in four-prongs settings, with 17 well matched round brilliant cut diamonds, with a total weight of about 1.17 carats, white colorless F, VS clarity. Measures: 41 mm by 41 mm, (1.62 x 1.62). Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark associated to Peter Lindeman, the mark for the assay and warranty of the .750/.999 gold and signed as follows, "©PL 18KT". Peter Lindeman He was born in Berlin. Lindeman grew up in Montevideo, Uruguay, apprenticing with a fine European firm. In 1947, at the age of 17, he headed to New York, where he worked for several high-end jewelers. After selling his designs to some of the most renowned businesses in the fine jewelry industry, Peter Lindeman set out to make a name for himself. Between crafting some truly innovative designs and developing new methods for reaching customers, both skill and hard work led to acclaim for his jewelry. His workshop supplied pieces to retailers such as Tiffany & Co., Shreve, Crump & Lowe, and Bailey Banks & Biddle. In 1955, he started designing his own jewelry and created his signature hallmark – a teardrop with an “L” placed on the back of every piece.
