About the Item
A beautifully and excellently crafted brooch by international jewelry designer Kai-Yin Lo. The brooch is comprised of a large 14 mm mabe pearl set into a vermeil (gold on sterling silver) setting. The pearl is surrounded along the sides and bottom with carved and shaped mother of pearl and black onyx inlay. The solid back color of the onyx perfectly sets off the the lightly grey color of the mother of pearl and mabe pearl. The brooch measures 3.25 inches wide, 1 inch high and .5 of an inch high, not including the pin back. On the back and bottom it is inscribed Kai-Yin Lo and stamped 925 for sterling silver. Very very nice condition with no wear to the gold plate. The brooch weighs 27 grams.
