Marcus & Co Plique-à-Jour Art Nouveau Brooch
Authentic antique large oval Amethyst brooch with diamond and pearls. The genuine fine quality faceted oval amethyst measures 23mm x 18mm weighing approximately 20 carats. The diamonds are set in platinum, old European cut shape with a total weight of 1.00 carats. The pearls measure 4mm - 5.5mm. This special piece is circa 1900. Pale transparent lavender Plique-à-jour enamel in open areas. The brooch measures 2 inches x 1 3/4 inches with a long horizontal pin closure on the back. Stamped "Marcus & Co 18K".
