Pendant with brooch designed by Hobe. Fabulous piece of costume jewelry, created by the Parisian/American maker Hobe Et Co., back in the 1940. This beautiful retro piece was carefully assembled with parts crafted in .925 sterling silver and 14kt gilded .925 sterling. The piece is composed by an oval brooch with a hanging pendant and is fitted at the reverse with a hinged stem bar with a security lock. Gemstones: Mount in bezel settings, with 3 faceted cut of colored orange citrines crystals, with an estimate of 45 carats. Birthstone: Citrines for the month of November. A stunning and intricate brooch by jewelry company Hobe' made between 1941 and 1948. It features two round disks of intricately hand made leaves and flowers within a round framework. The disks are set with pink, purple and green faceted crystal stones. The top disk is 1.13 inches in diameter. The bottom disk is .88 of an inch in diameter. Both have side spiral pieces with approximately 1.25 inch long tassels. The brook is 1.75 inches wide and 4.38 inches long. The back shows the intertwining wire work that the front flowers and leaves are soldered. Additionally, on the back of the top disk is a rectangular plaque inscribed Sterling and design pat. Usually the name of Hobe' would appear above the word sterling. However, as the plaque is hand made and cut small to fit the space, the name is not included. This is typical of Hobe' sterling pieces. A beautiful sterling silver floral brooch by jewelry company Hobe' and made between 1941 and 1948. The brooch is hand soldered with a three dimensional top flower in sterling silver and a central bezel set gold gold crystal stone. Extending down and outward from the flower are three gold wash leaves and three oval bevel set crystal stones in peridot green and emerald green. The back of the brooch has a hand made five sided plaque inscribed Hobe, sterling and 1/20th 14K. It measures 2.13 inches wide, 2.63 inches tall and .5 of an inch deep.
