A red poppies brooch by Ilgiz F, the brooch of elliptical shape depicting five poppies with red champlevé enamelled petals and green enamelled peduncles, on diamond pave-set background, the diamonds weighing a total of 2.23 carats, all mounted in 18ct gold with gold brooch fitting, made by Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, measuring approximately 5.6 cm long an d1.7cm wide, gross weight 16.7 grams.
Considered by many to be the heir of Fabergé, the contemporary Russian jeweller Ilgiz F creates a charming elliptical brooch displaying exquisitely enamelled poppies resting upon a dazzling diamond background, from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales.
